BIGSOUND 2016

BIGSOUND Conference Brisbane is a unique combination of musicians, music lovers and industry experts from across the globe assemble in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley to explore Australia’s ever-evolving music industry, build new relationships and experience the next wave of music from Australia and beyond.

We-Refill sponsored the event with several water fountain installations, featuring filtered, chilled and energized tab water.
Despite having other drinking water alternatives with low single-use plastic footprints being showcased at the event, We-Refill outperformed any other solution by the factor 15, providing the only accepted alternative to visitors choosing to opt out on single-use bottles.

Outcome for the Public:
- There is always an alternative to Single-Use and it is always an added value to the consumer’s experience
- A funky solution providing fresh and energized water in a trendy fashion

Splendour in the Grass

Splendour in the Grass is one of the biggest Australian Music Festivals being held near Byron Bay and during Australian Winter. The three-day festival has a capacity of 30,000 visitors and takes place within the Byron Bay Parklands.

We-Refill sponsored the event with several water fountain installations, featuring filtered and chilled tab water.
Despite having a large number of catering stands and bars selling plastic bottled water and other drinks, We-Refill provided an alternative to visitors choosing to opt out on single-use bottles.

Outcome for the Public:
- There is always an alternative to Single-Use and it is always an added value to the consumer’s experience
- Free and sustainable hydration under hot and exhausting conditions, where every other drink alternative is single-use and expensive
- The only alternative to visitors choosing to opt out on single-use bottles by bringing their own reusable bottles

Outcome for the event:
- Increased consumer satisfaction
- Health and Safety image by providing a sustainable hydration source
- +4,500 free water refills
- About 170m3 less waste
- A benchmark for the event’s Environmental Initiative targets
